Family Promise of Greene County is the local affiliate of a nationwide sheltering system that for the past thirty years has provided solutions to family homelessness. They run two shelters in Greene County for homeless women with children and they also work to help families in these situations forestall homelessness. In addition, they provide training and meals and access to other services as needed.

Ohio Performing Arts Institute creates an astounding array of performing arts educational experiences in Springfield, Ohio for students age 3 to 103 (as it says on their website). Embracing the essence of true community theatre, this non-profit academy has offered lessons in tap, ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary and inclusive dance as well as acting voice and guitar over the past thirty years.

Gem City Roller Derby is a women’s flat track roller derby team that is skater owned and operated as a non-profit for the past 19 years. They strive to improve athleticism, self-discipline, and character while promoting team unity. They are dedicated to providing community outreach through events, activities and charity sponsorship and they have a strong volunteer presence in the community.

We are so excited about working with these three great local non-profits over the course of the year!
