Join us on Sunday Morning September 22 at Island Park for our inaugural 5K fundraising race to raise a little money for the Dayton Book Fair Building Fund, the Rabbit Hole Romp 5k!
It’s the 5K Rabbit Hole Romp!
It’s a beautiful race path along Stillwater River from Island Park to Wegyrzen Park and back again. Alice in Wonderland costumes are encouraged, with a special prize for the “runner” in the best costume. The trail is naturally sheltered and away from traffic. Babies in strollers and well-mannered dogs on leashes are welcome.
There are nifty items just for entering (including a t-shirt and other swag) and finishers’ medals for all who get across the line, along with prizes for first overall and first in class. This is a professionally timed race, and race results will be available at the event. We’ll be following up with a (very) informal tea in Island Park (hot and cold tea, finger foods and sweets).
