Don’t forget to roundup the books, records, games, puzzles, movies and so forth you’d like to donate for the Roundup on Saturday. We have a dozen sites in the greater Dayton area open 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. as well as our office-warehouse space on Embury Park which is open ’till 3 p.m.
We are a 501c3 organization and your donations are tax deductible!
Just think, you don’t have to drive over a day early to leave your box (or chair, or milk crate) in the line. You don’t have to camp out in the parking lot, in mid-November. You can just pre-order your wristband and we’ll send it to you. Pre-sale wristbands are $11 each.
The last day to order a wristband and have it sent through the mail is Friday, November 6th at 5 p.m. eastern standard time. Before the Friday deadline, you can order them online at this link “Wristbands” or by telephone at our office (937) 999-4491.
But even after that, you can still order a wristband and pick it up at will-call at the Fairgrounds Friday morning. The wristbands are sequentially numbered, and the line to get in will be in numerical order. If you are ordering wristbands for pick up at will call, we can only take orders online– as there will be no one at the office to answer the phone. (We’re all working on setting up the Book Fair.)
Of course, we’ll sell the wristbands on the line too. They are $10 day of sale, and with a wristband you can come and go as you please throughout the day. Everyone in your group needs a wristband for admittance, including teens over 16. Children younger than 16 are admitted free in the company of their parents or another responsible adult.
Each year we get some really special books, and we offer those as a Silent Auction at the sale. Bidding starts on Friday, November 13th, at 9 a.m. and ends Saturday, November 14th, at 6 p.m. We will take proxy bids on these books via email and telephone through Monday, November 9th.
If you are interested in making a proxy bid, please contact us with your name, address, telephone number, email and the bid you’d like to place. If your bid prevails, we will notify you on Tuesday, November 17th. Shipping costs will be added.
Our telephone number is (937) 999-4491 and our email is email@example.com.
Photos will be added to this list later this week, and there may be a few more titles added prior to the sale, so stay tuned!
Are you surrounded by stacks of books? Need a place to bring them? Would you like the sale of your books to support several Dayton-based charities? We’ve got the spot for you. It’s the Book Fair Foundation, reselling books to benefit good works since 1970. You can find us at 2181 Embury Park Road. Beginning Tuesday, March 10, we’re open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 to 3, Wednesdays 3 to 7 and on Saturdays from 10 to 1. If you have a large number of books to donate (or just have questions, or maybe you want to volunteer) you can call us at 937.999.4491
